About this blog

This is my personal blog which I began in February 2001. I called it The Obvious? when I wrote anonymously and chose the name to reflect the fact I have to overcome my inhibitions about stating the obvious!

    GuruOnline

I was recently lucky enough to be interviewed for GuruOnlineon the subject of getting started in social media.

You might find some of the content useful, or find it useful to to pass on to others, as the individual Q&A format seems to work quite well.

Am just after watching this for the first time - hey I've been busy. What a great resource! Really condensed and useful stuff. Maybe you should bottle it and sell it for Christmas. Give it out free to management, recruiters and CEO's.

Interesting point about how "social media" is a fad. Also about you saying (not in these clips) that the real benefits will be apparent in 50 years. Two things I have in mind:

    1. What will be the next movement?
    2. Have you given thought to the undisclosed technologies we are going to see in the next 50 years?

    Great stuff though Euan! :-)

Glad you enjoyed the clips Cormac - feel free to spread the word!

I am always wary of predicting the future but I am convinced that tools that give us better signal to noise out of all our online activity will be the next big thing.
