About this blog

This is my personal blog which I began in February 2001. I called it The Obvious? when I wrote anonymously and chose the name to reflect the fact I have to overcome my inhibitions about stating the obvious!

BBC/YouTube deal

This is good news.

Ah,

You tube is over-rated and has no lasting business model. I've never supported the idea of the BBC sharing on YouTube because you tube doesn't actually seem to be viable as it stands. Who knows, with a change in delivery it might work, I suppose the BBC are paying them to deliver, is that really good?

Anything that gets more BBC content out there legitimately is a good thing in my book.

The concept may be good but the execution is pretty hopeless!

You can't embed some of the official YouTube clips from the BBC channel - but I defy you to figure out any rhyme or reason to which ones you can and which ones you can't!
